Death Valley Wedding, California | Danielle & David

On the 28th of December 2013 I married my lover and my best friend Danielle.

While it took more than a decade of being together for that amazing day to happen I knew as soon as I saw her all those years ago that an adventure was going to happen.

Just to add some context to this story, Danielle and I got engaged in late 2011 on top of a mountain in Death Valley National Park in California (click here to see more about that adventure) while we were travelling throughout the USA.

After returning home to Sydney, we started planning our wedding which we dreamed would be back in Death Valley. But as many of you would know, planning a wedding in your hometown is difficult enough let alone on the other side of the world. Add to that logistics, constraints, work, study, daily life etc it remained just that…A DREAM.

Eventually, we decided we would get married close to home and we found the perfect venue in Milton Park Country House Hotel in Bowral (Australia).

-Fast-forward two years-

Danielle and I were still holding on to that dream of being together celebrating our marriage & wedding in Death Valley National Park and exploring the breathtaking natural beauty it has to offer. So we set off on an adventure to make our dreams a reality.

After celebrating an unforgettable wedding day in Australia with our family and close friends we headed to Sydney airport to start a new adventure in Death Valley to fulfil our dream.

Life is an adventure. Love is an adventure. Marriage is an adventure.
